Q: Can Furniture Medic repair my furniture on-site?

A: Yes, Furniture Medic attempts to conduct all repairs on-site. However, there are times where the extent of the damage will require your furniture to be repaired at an off-site facility. In those instances, Furniture Medic will make you aware of the procedure for off-site repairs.

Q:Is Furniture Medic by Bespoke Restoration Licensed, Bonded and Insured?

A: Yes, to all of the above! Our New Mexico Contractors License # is 375717 and we are bonded and insured.

Q: Will the products used to repair my furniture be safe for my family?

A: Yes, Furniture Medic uses predominately water-based products which have fewer odors and are safe for the environment. This means they are also safe for your family and pets. Some repair processes may require the use of more traditional products. In these instances, the Furniture Medic will insure adequate ventilation or simply work on the piece outside of the home.

Q: What are the main types of damage that can be repaired in my home?

A: Furniture Medic repairs damage on all types and styles of wood furniture and surfaces. In many cases, items can be repaired instead of being replaced, which can save you money in the long run.

Q: I have a white spot on the finish of my table, can this be repaired?

A: White spots on furniture can result when heat (a hot pizza box for example) or water (from a glass) penetrate the surface. In many cases, Furniture Medic can repair this type of damage on-site in a few hours or less. In cases where the damage is too great, Furniture Medic will present you with other options for restoring the piece at an off-site location.

Q: My dog has chewed the leg of my table and left some damage, can this be repaired?

A: Furniture Medic can repair areas of pet damage to include dog chews, cat scratches and various other types of pet damage. Furniture Medic will provide you with an analysis of the damaged areas and provide you with options on how he can restore the look of the piece that was damaged.

Q: I have a table that is showing some wear. What are my options for making this piece look better?

A: There are several ways worn finish can be repaired. If the finish is still in good enough shape, a new coat of finish can be applied to achieve the desired result of an enhanced looked. However, if the finish is too badly damaged, the table will most likely need to be stripped and refinished.

Q: I recently purchased a piece of furniture for my bedroom but the color does not match the rest of the furniture in my room. Is this something that Furniture Medic can help me with?

A: Yes, Furniture Medic specializes in color changes. It is generally easier to take a light piece to a darker shade. However, we do have processes that allow us to take darker shades to lighter options as well.

Q: How long will the repair take? Will I be without my piece of furniture for an extended time?

A: Furniture Medic attempts to do many of the repairs in the customer’s home which reduces the turnaround time. However, sometimes the damage is too great and an item must be taken back to the shop for repair. At this time, Furniture Medic will give you an estimate of how long you can expect to wait.

Q: How can I get an estimate?

A: There are 2 ways to get an estimate:

  1. We’d be happy to look at photographs of the damage and give you a free price range for the repairs.  Please email 2-3 pictures of each piece to info@fmbespokerestoration.com (photos of the entire piece and then photos of any damage up close).
  2. If you are unable to send photographs we charge $75+tax for onsite visits, which we waive if you move forward with repairs.
